A splurge

So after reaching my 50lbs weight loss goal 3 weeks ago, i went out and spoiled myself with a manicure and pedicure at my favourite nail place in Winnipeg, Posh Nails on Pembina.  My regular nail girl, Kathy has been bugging me for awhile to try the permanent nail polish once more, stating that they had got in a better undercoat that makes the polish last 3 weeks!  I had had mixed results in the past but decided to trust her and i am certainly not sorry i did!  She did a beautiful job of appyling the polish and we tried something a bit different this time, faded sparkle tips.  I was instantly in love but the best part is, the polish is still on my fingers after 3 weeks of hard wear and not a chip in colour!  If you are not a fake nail girl i would strongly recommend making an appointment with my girl Kathy for your own permanent nail polish experience!

My Beautiful Nephew Austin

Thanksgiving was the perfect day for taking some pictures of my beautiful nephew, Austin!  He's past the age of sitting still so i was happy with the few pictures that i did manage to get while chasing him around the yard, enjoy!

Getting Crafty with it!

I tried buying a Christmas wreath for our front door this year and i ended up buying a wreath that was WAYYYY too big and i had to return it.  So i took a page out of one of my friends books and decided to get craft with it.  Michaels had a 25% on everything in the store coupon plus the christmas decorations were 50-70% off so i went for it and bought the materials that i would need to make my own Christmas wreath.  Here is a picture of my final product . . . What do you think?

Baby Henry

I have been so busy with craft sales lately that i never got a chance to blog about my photo shoot with baby Henry back in October.  He is the son of our good friends, Mirjana and Justin and my first experience with baby photography. None of the photos have been edited and maybe that's next on my list to learn but let me know what you think!

Owww! My Fingers Hurt, It Was So Worth It!

My fingers and I have been working this thanksgiving weekend on some more hair fascinators ($30) in anticipation for my upcoming craft sale on October 21st and 22nd.  It should prove to be a good sale and I think these will sell quickly but in case you really love one of these beauties and because you are reading my blog, you get first dibs!  Leave me a comment and we can arrange for you to have your choice of fascinator before they go on sale in two weeks.  Enjoy!
